If you have a large family you will understand this page for family dinners under $10. Most sites that talk about budget dinners would never work for my family. I have 4 big guys to feed and 2 of them are in their senior year football so dinners have to pretty much feed an army in my house. If you need big family dinners that are easy to make (I love my slow cooker!) and cost less than $10 per meal than this is where you need to be! Each recipe is tested by me and my guys- not just picked off of the internet. So let's eat!!!
Chicken Hot Shots-
My husband loves hot shots and this is an easy way to get it on the table fast. Yes, it involves shortcuts but still pretty healthy and for less than $10 we even had a little left overs.
Ingredients-
2 Curly's Sauceless Pulled Chicken
2 Jars Chicken Gravy
One box instant mashed potatoes
Toast
2 cans corn
Mix the chicken and gravy together in saucepan and simmer on medium low while you make the instant mashed potatoes and toast and heat up corn in microwave.
Layer toast, potatoes, and chicken gravy mixture and top with a spoon full of corn.
Very low fat but and low in calories but a little high in sodium. Easy, quick, cheap and somewhat healthy dinner. Better than grabbing fast food!!
